Hello! I’m Haych.  I am an   ABTC-registered Dog Trainer (ATI), Animal Behaviour Technician (ABT) and APBC-registered Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist, based in Brighton, East Sussex, with a specialism in dogs.  I offer training and behavioural assessments/follow-up sessions on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays each week. I offer in-person and remote consultations. I am based in   Woodingdean,   East Sussex.

I practice ethical, force-free, non-aversive training techniques, and am overseen by the ABTC and PACTs code of conduct. I am also a member of the APBC.

I believe in a Dog Centric Approach. I will meet you and your dog where you are at on the day.  I work holistically and try to make the sessions accessible and comprehensible for everyone involved.  We all learn at a different pace, and I will prioritise you and your dogs' welfare at all times.  I aim to help strengthen the bond between you and give you and your dog agency on what and how we learn. We'll work together!

What I can help with:

  • Pre and post adoption support and advice, specific to overseas rescues
  • IS IT OLD AGE - Cognitive-related decline in senior dogs
  • STRANGER DANGER - Aggression/threats towards unfamiliar people (excluding vet)
  • I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY'RE BARKING - Aggression/ threats towards familiar people
  • SEEING ANOTHER DOG DREAD - Aggression/ threats towards unfamiliar dogs
  • THEY MISS YOU, OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE - Owner-absent related problems
  • ALL DOGS DON'T DO THIS - Repetitive Behaviours (spinning, tail chasing)
  • WHY ARE THEY SO SCARED - Apparent fearful or phobic behaviour (non-aggressive)
  • THEY NEED YOUR GUIDANCE - Problems related to training, attention-seeking, or apparent excessive arousal

This includes:

  • Designing and implementing procedures to safeguard against the development of problem behaviours
  • Review of medical records
  • Designing a training and behaviour modification plan
  • Collaborating with your vet to achieve the best outcomes for both of you
  • Report sent to you and your vet

Please note: I will not work with anyone who uses prong, spray or shock/e-collars, and/or verbal/physical punishment.

My Prices are:

Assessment only:

£150 for a 90-minute comprehensive home visit or virtual assessment - follow up with an initial Behavioural Modification Plan

Assessment and coaching package:

£285 for a 90-minute initial home-based assessment plus 2 x 60-minute coaching sessions. I will meet you and your dog where you are at on the day, make observations, ask questions and offer you a space to talk and offload any concerns.  A concise, tailored written plan will be emailed within 3 days of the initial visit and after each coaching session.
